Ickenham Festive Community Night
Just to let you know that Jane, Yvonne and I will be selling some of our wares, including jewellery, cards and books in the village hall in Ickenham on the Friday 12 December. Its a great atmosphere in Ickenham on Community Night as the shops stay open and many a drink and mince pie, music, train rides for little ones and other jollities abound. How better to spend a Friday night!

Illustrated books
I have been working on an illustrated story book about the miniature railway in Ickenham over the last year and decided the best way to get it underway was to self-publish it. As a trial I worked on one of the books I had made for my grandchildren, called Rudolph's tale and made versions for publishing on demand print to be sold through Amazon and Kindle.
The Kindle form proved complicated so I have put that aside for the railway story for the time being. Now I have added a third book, called Too many hats to my collection and hope to add the others I have written in the near future. I am in the process of trying to get some hard copies to sell but these have to come from the USA. I have found it interesting to do and you know what they say about the benefits of learning a new skill at my age! If you want to look at my authors page you can find it here

Art Competition
Hello attempting the blog spot, after a period of quiet art wise and need for rest .
I entered artwork for a competition at the London Diocesan House in Pimlico and have had 'Finding Peace'shortlisted.
Also you may already know, but next year Hillingdon will be marking 50 years as the London Borough of Hillingdon, maybe one of the exhibitions at Cow Byre could work round this or set up something new. Perhaps use the frames that Lisa has either for our own response to Hillingdon or use in a way similar to Jane's successful Uxbridge project.
