Ruth Karnak's exhibition in Cow Byre
We all had a great time at Ruth's Private View in the Cow Byre on Sunday. The Mayor Councillor George Cooper and Mayoress Councillor Judith Cooper were in attendance. It was an exceptionally busy day as it coincided with the Medieval Festival and markets. Ruth who is a spritely 93 year old is retiring from her artwork and it was great to see her wonderful jewellery and textile art. Her exhibition is open until Saturday 22nd August. Do take the opportunity to go along if you can, she has already sold a good number of her works.

Chris Dilger artwork
As you may know Chris is receiving care from the Harlington Hospice and would like to see his vast collection of unique artwork used to help raise funds for them. We have already appealed for a suitable exhibition space for his work but without success. However Chris, despite his condition is currently working with an animation company Worldsight Media in Middlesborough to create an animation of his Cigregrets character for the NHS. I am also working with Chris to create a book of part of his collection called "Fag Art". We hope to have the book launched soon. Proceeds raised will go to the hospice. We will let you know when it is available and hope you will be able to support his initiative. Ian
