Hillingdonartists is a collective of professional and semi-professional artist to live or work in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Our aim is to cooperate in exhibitions and support each other in fostering and developing opportunities for Arts in the borough. We have group exhibitions in Ruislip and Uxbridge and other locations. Our artists also exhibit independently in many other venues in London and throughout the country. Our main website has details of each artist, images of their work and the services they provide.
The Borough is situated in the West side of London approximately 15 miles from the centre. It is host to towns and villages such as Ruislip, Ickenham, Uxbridge, Hillingdon, West Drayton, Harlington and Harmondsworth.
In the South of the Borough we have the extensive Heathrow Airport. Hillingdon is reputed to be London's greenest Borough with the most amount of Green Space. The RAF was based at Uxbridge during and after WWII and still has the bunkers used by Winston Churchill during the Battle of Britain.
Uxbridge, the Borough's largest town is also home to Brunel University.
The Borough has a thriving art and craft community with many societies in visual art , performing arts and music.
